Hungarian manufacturer's magazine interviews Robert Lovas on distributed computing

The Hungarian manufacturer's magazine Gyártástrend interviewed IDGF-SP project coordinator Robert Lovas from MTA SZTAKI on the subject of distributed computing. The magazine presents distributed computing as a cost-efficient IT-solution to manufacturers. For industrial companies an enormous task arises when solving the problem of  a very large amount of calculation. In this case, typically large and powerful server computers must be obtained.  A better solution might be found in grid technology. Distributed systems should be set up to rent.  The interview is in Hungarian and can be accessed online at http://www.gyartastrend.hu/informatika/cikk/koltsegkimelo_informatikai_megoldas or at

The International Desktop Grid Federation (IDGF) is set up to be long-lived.

At present, the IDGF organisation is working hard to getting into shape the permanent framework for the organisation structure.
