Working groups (or expert groups) in IDGF are formed by participants to actively work together on important technical topics they have expertise in. These expert groups are the most active parts of the whole organisation and make it all going by manifold technical discussions.
All the working groups must be approved by the Organisational and by the Executive Board. Each group must elect as a minimum a chair and a secretary and other board members when needed. Chairs will be elected by all the members for 3 years, until a maximum of 6 years (1 re-election possible). The Working Group Boards will elect members of Organizational and Technical Board. They will be elected by all the members every 3 years, until a maximum of 6 years (1 re-election).
They are supported by the closed and open Participation Portal and some particular Message Boards.
The goal of the IDGF working Group "EGI Collaboration" is to work together with the EGI counterpart on integrating Crowd computing and the EGI infrastructure. Membership of the Working group is open to any member of IDGF.
